Registration Information Everyone playing in the tournament must register. * All youth division games on Sunday will play as round robin games, along with the Adult Double Beginner division. * Sunday open divisions are planned as single elimination games, but may run as round robin depending on the number of entries in each division and include: B mixed double, C mixed double, B & C mixed double * Saturday Round Robin Games will include: B women's single, C women's single, Over 50 single, B women's double, C women's double, Over 50 double * Saturday Single Elimination Games will include: B men's single, C men's single, B men's double, C men's double Round robin games will play 1 game to 31 points and play each team/player in their bracket.
Single elimination games will play best of 3 games to 21 points. This year’s tournament will have single elimination and round robin games. Ages are determined by calendar year, so your age for the tournament is the age you will be on December 31, 2023. Youth may sign up for 1 single and 1 double division. Youth ages14 and older (born 2009 or earlier) may play in the Open or Youth division, but not both. Please Note: B & C level players may sign up for a maximum of 2 divisions on Saturday and 1 division on Sunday. This year's tournament will include B and C level divisions as well as youth divisions. Join Newton Parks and Recreation for our badminton tournament at the Newton South High School located at 140 Brandeis Rd in Newton.
If a division fills, please add your name to the waiting list in case of cancellations. Registration closes at 12:00 noon on Friday March 10th, or when a division fills.
